Witches.town dies tomorrow at some point
users: If you're still on it download everything and find a new instance now
admins: domain block witches.town today or tomorrow to save yourself from the mountain of sidekiq errors that will come from w.t going offline
@Sir_Boops domain blocking is a really bad idea here, please don't do it, it will destroy every old witches.town toot in people's likes etc, and any way old followers have of looking up where people went
@Sir_Boops mastodon will automatically detect w.t as unreachable after a certain point and cancel any deliveries.

@nightpool @Sir_Boops it will take 7 days of errors for that to happen though, which is not ideal
we've got some stuff to deal with it but it's not released yet...

@realitygaps i mean, a "suspend" domain block immediately deletes all data from that instance. what did you think blocking it was going to do?

@realitygaps i mean, even if mastodon didn't deal with it there are tons of other ways to handle the situation that don't involve deleting ALL local witches.town data.
